Macon Restaurant Has Added CBD-Infused Foods to Menu

CBD Georgia

The Harp & Bowl LA Bistro in Macon is adding CBD oil to some of its menu items. Customers can order some smoothies and acai bowls with CBD oil added in. Many customers have asked if it’s legal, and even law enforcement has confirmed that it is.

The CBD oil that the restaurant is using is derived from hemp, WGXA News reports. The owner, Charlotte Ethridge found that many are using CBD oil for depression, anxiety and other ailments. She did some research to ensure that what she’s doing is legal.

Ethridge said, “I’ve had people come in here with depression and anxiety and they say that it is just great. It goes straight to the depression and anxiety and stops anxiety immediately.”

Captain Michael Bittick of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Drug and Gang Unit said, “If you were smoking hemp — something like that you would have to smoke a lot of hemp to get any sort of high. You would get sick before you got any high.”

There are no worries about passing drug tests, according to Ethridge. She’s hoping that more of her customers, and even some new ones, will give the menu items a try.

She said, “A lot of people are here in this direction for the medical benefits of it.”
