CBD Oil is Helping Fight Georgia’s Opioid Crisis

Cannabis States

Users of CBD oil in Georgia are saying that it’s helping them stop the use of opioids. CBD oil is being sold in some pharmacies, including Little Five Points Pharmacy in Atlanta. While the evidence is only anecdotal from those using the oil, it speaks to the growing trend across the nation.

CBD oil only contains trace amounts of THC, so it is considered legal in Georgia, WSB-TV 2 News reports. A form of marijuana oil is legal, but only for those with some health conditions. The marijuana oil is not available within the state.

Les Howson, who uses CBD oil for nerve and muscle pain, said, “I’m very lucky. I feel good. I’m getting on it for years and I think it’s great.”
