For $100, This State Allows Out-of-State Patients to Buy Marijuana

Oklahoma Cannabis

Oklahoma, the country’s fastest-growing medical marijuana state, has decided to accept out-of-state medical marijuana patients. Their state program allows visitors with a valid medical marijuana card to apply for a temporary permit that is good for 30 days. The permits can be renewed monthly.

The fee for a temporary permit is $100, according to 5 News Online. Once approved, permit holders will receive an ID card to use at Oklahoma medical marijuana dispensaries.

Oklahoma, which launched its medical marijuana program in August 2018, already has over 800 licensed dispensaries and 1,300 licensed growers. Some small towns in the state have half a dozen dispensaries while the state’s two largest college towns, Norman and Stillwater, already have over 20 dispensaries each.

The application for out-of-state patients is available at omma.ok.gov.
